Abstract: Cure & Care: From the Cage to Rebirth is a travelling exhibition project that explores care as a dual force: social constraint and possibility of regeneration. Set in two contrasting environments-one dark and intricate, the other bright and open-the exhibition guides visitors on an immersive, sensory journey through a structure of interwoven threads symbolising constraint and hope respectively. The public is not just a spectator, but an active participant: through coloured pendants to be hung from the threads, visitors transform the space into a collective emotional landscape. In situ performances, video installations and visual works by four Mediterranean artists – Claudia Cappuccio, Francesca Giunta, Oderf and Selin Unlu – give voice to intimate and social experiences related to care, questioning roles, expectations and the potential for rebirth. Inspired by Chiharu Shiota’s installations and Franco Albini’s curatorial philosophy, the exhibition is designed to adapt to the places that host it, reflecting local stories through a sensitive and participatory narrative. Cure & Care is an experience to be lived, traversed and transformed.
