Concept: Shockwave refers to an event that triggers the adaptation of a form to the conditions of its context—a jolt that reshapes the Sara Hildén Art Museum into its new form and state, allowing it to settle into its new position within the city of Tampere. This shock operates as a strategy to define the museum’s integration within the natural environment, generating new relationships and shaping the building as a fluid and versatile space, capable of adapting to a wide range of exhibition formats.
