PIVOT – CURATING & ARTISTIC PRACTICES
A transdisciplinary journal of territory, culture and energy
ENG: PIVOT is an independent journal, a space for research and writing dedicated to the intersections between territory, culture, energy, and social transformation. It is structured into two complementary sections: ESSAYS and FOCUS.
ESSAYS gathers the theoretical framework of the project. It is organized into thematic dossiers, each exploring a shared issue through four perspectives: territorial, museum/artistic, energy-related, and multidisciplinary. Rather than offering isolated readings, the articles provide complementary contributions designed to connect spaces, institutions, infrastructures, practices, and communities.
FOCUS complements the Journal with in-depth analysis dedicated to case studies and specific contexts. It develops applied readings of projects, institutions, territories, and practices. While these articles emerge from a dialogue with the themes explored in Essays, they maintain their own autonomy: they do not serve as illustrative applications, but rather test, extend, and, when necessary, reveal their limits and contradictions.
The Journal is structured into thematic dossiers that examine a given issue through four distinct lenses: territorial, curatorial, energy-related, and transdisciplinary. This section develops the artistic & curatorial perspective.
